Rants in the Pants, Episode 79-It’s Not Epstein, It’s the Children

Created at: July 15, 2025

This week is one of the times a story hit me in the face, and I have to talk about it. Sorry if you think that it’s too much repetition, but frankly, until this story has a palatable conclusion, there will never be too much repetition of it.

I love children. Always have. Even when I was just a child. Children also love me. Perhaps they are able to sense that I am safe and no threat to them. Being a dad has been the most challenging and satisfying job I have ever had. Children are the most important people in our lives. They represent love and the continuation of our species. Unfortunately, our society as a whole does not look at children this way.

Kids are shunted off to the sitter while Mom and Dad both work. Why is this so? The creep of the cost of living against the stagnation of wages has made it so that most families need to have two breadwinners now instead of one while the other raises the children. Why has there been such inflation? Because it helps the bottom line of the rich. No one else. We all suffer and go from steak to hamburger, from fresh, organic vegetables and fruits to packaged foods full of chemicals to color, preserve, and fool the tastebuds.

But it goes deeper than that. Much deeper. Recently, President Trump wondered why people are still talking about Epstein when there are other things like his Great Big Wonderful Bill and the defeat (sic) of Iran, etc. to talk about. Well, I gave this guy a chance and he’s failed me. The entire government and the media that report on it has failed me. They are all lying. It’s all horse manure. If you don’t believe that, I can’t even talk to you because the lies are so transparent, so in your face that it would be difficult indeed to miss them.

The reason this is such an awful, horrendous statement along with the statements by Bondi and Bongino, is because it attempts to bury crimes committed in a flurry of lies. “There’s no list.” “We didn’t find any videos.” And don’t forget they are attempting to raise the age of those who were abused by saying the children were all 14 or older. More horse manure.

We are told no crimes were committed, no evidence of crimes has been collected, nothing to see here folks. This is despite the testimony of some of the abused who put their lives on the line to testify, the carts of evidence seen being taken out of Epstein’s residence, the statement by Bondi that we have thousands of pieces of evidence to go through… The only conclusion I can come to is they must think we are stupid.

You combine the calls of the age of consent to be lowered- here’s the search URL- and the disbelief of what those who have come forward have said and you have a picture of what kind of America some are trying to create. It’s not pretty. It’s not child friendly.

The reason children get the short end of the stick in all of this is because they get no justice. Their testimonies are not believed. The perpetrators who raped them go free and prosper. The children are left to themselves to grow up with this terrible wound that may never heal.

I’ve known two adults who were trafficked as children and I’ve also known far too many who were raped as children, many within the family. Some of them spend years in counseling to even start to heal the wounds. Others bury their pain in suicide or alcohol and drug abuse. Still others go on to commit the very crimes that were committed against them. This has to stop. Children are our future, our hopes and dreams. Whether you have kids or not, whether you like kids or not, if you are privileged to grow old, you will need someone from the generations behind you to assist you later in life.

How do we get justice? The media, politicians, public figures, judges and prosecutors- all of these combine with the ultra-rich forming a bastion of lies, blackmail, murder and lives ruined to protect themselves. Who do we turn to? What can we do?

Well, we can sit on our hands and do nothing. We can vote harder in the next selection. We can just ignore the crimes and the rotting away of our lives and freedoms and those of the children. There are some we can trust, some who hold office or sit on the bench who we can turn to. However, it is on us as the people to demand the arrest and prosecution of anyone involved in these horrendous crimes.

We need to realize that there are more of us than of them. Also, the government is full of corruption and will not be able to remedy this grievance. You can help by sharing this post. Keeping social media filled with posts about Epstein, child trafficking, and corruption will help. Another, perhaps more effective way of banding together has been presented by Nick Bryant, the author of The Franklin Scandal. He’s now laser focused on Epstein and all that concerns this case. He has established a site, epsteinjustice.com where we can all gather, learn about what’s happening and sign a petition. I want to make this clear. This is not just another petition. It is also a movement. If you join, there will be actions suggested that you can take. If we get enough participation, we will get some results. Just remember that it is all about the children. They are the most important part of this story.

For further reading I highly recommend The Franklin Scandal, by Nick Bryant on child trafficking.

War is a Racket, by Smedley Butler will tell you about what our wars are really for. It’s a small book and can be found at the link above for free reading online.

One Nation Under Blackmail, by Whitney Webb is another book one should read. Written by perhaps the best investigative reporter since Seymour Hersh, it tells of the relationship between intelligence agencies and crime that led to Jeffrey Epstein.
